If Emelia Hartford looks at the car and says “it’s cool,” you better believe it, because the Corvette Z06 truly is out of this world. It's essentially a race car, with an engine that runs to 8,600 RPM, and “by far, the quickest engine we’ve (GM) done.” Chevrolet revealed the 2023 Corvette Z06 via YouTube, and we are echoing what everyone is saying, “Oh my goodness."

New Corvette Z06 Gets 670-HP V8

The sound is thunderous, moreso because it’s a flat-plane crank V8, all naturally aspirated that manages to make 670 horses. The Corvette sound is there, but it's clearly flat-plane. And while the people outside can hear the car, with a completely new exhaust system, the insides are forcefully fed the exhaust sounds. So that the driver can also enjoy what his all-new Corvette Z06 sounds like outside, on the inside.

The engine is low-volume, hand-built, and sounds out of the world, invoking goosebumps. As GM says, its clinical perfection blended with the symphony of the flat-plane crank, with aluminum forged pistons and titanium parts. They changed everything but the doors, the roof, and the hatch, as all have performance parts. The chassis architecture puts the power to the ground with 20-inch tires on the front and 21-inch in the rear.

The all-new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is not just a car, it’s a moving dream. Orgasmic even, with its DOHC 5.5-liter V8 LT6 engine that also makes 470 lb-ft torque. And if that was not enough, there’s the optional Z07 package for the really track-committed because it gives 0-60 MPH numbers of 2.6 seconds. Our hearts are still pumping.
