The vehicle has been in existence since 2018, and it was about time that it got a refreshed styling. The biggest changes to the 2022 Hyundai Kona are in the styling department. The vehicle has a split headlight design in line with other Hyundai models. Even the previous Kona featured a split headlight design, but the new one has a sharper look. The top of the headlight features the DRL and the turn indicator, while the lower half features all-LED high beams and low beams. What is worth noting is there are no fog lamps on offer. The front bumper is also redesigned and features functional side vents for better aerodynamic efficiency. The top of the line SEL trim contrasts the bumper, giving the SUV a stand outlook. The front grill is also heavily reworked and features a split design on the top trim; it has a gloss black finish.

Towards the side, the vehicle features full plastic cladding giving it a rugged SUV look. The wheels are completely redesigned, too; the top trim gets 18-inch wheels while the lower trims get 17-inches. The wing mirror has also been redesigned and has LED indicators embedded in them along with cameras for the 360-degree parking camera system. The vehicle has a rising shoulder line and, as an option, also features roof racks used to mount luggage on top of the vehicle. At the back, the vehicle still follows the split design for the tail lamps. The upper unit features the brake lights while the lower part of the tail lighthouses in the turn indicators and the reversing light. The boot-lid features a subtle chrome strip, and on the lower half of the bumper, it has a silver finishing that adds a unique element of Style.
